2 charlas2 talks

The first one provided by Robotpodcast (by the way, great source for all those interested in robotics)  is about EU Robotics Week. The speaker talk about their experience in the robotics field which we found quite interesting. One of the speakers, Thilo Brodtmann, transmits three interesting conclusions:

  • Robotics create jobs
  • Young engineers should take a look at this field. Promising for them in the upcoming years.
  • The future is robotics. Specially service robotics.

We encourage you to take a look at the episode and help spread the message ;) .

The second feed we’d like to share today is a fascinating video of Professor Raffaello D’Andrea from ETH Zurich at ZURICH.MINDS presenting: “Feedback Control and the Coming Machine Revolution”. Here from Erle Project we’re fascinated by D’Andrea’s work. Worth taking a while to check their progress.

Quoting D’Andrea’s final words:

“We just have to figure out a way to learn how to live with these machines that can do wonderful things but also terrifying things, we have no choice”
